Construction Bidding Requirements
Contractors wishing to submit bids for Macomb County Department of Roads (MCDR) construction projects must be currently pre-qualified with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in the work type specified in the project advertisement. Proof of pre-qualification must be attached to the bid proposal or on file at the Department of Roads. A bidders net pre-qualification must be equal to or grater than that required for the proposed contract. Current MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, including proposal submission shall apply to all MCDR contracts, except as modified in the proposal.
A satisfactory bid bond or certified check of not less than 5% of the total bid is required with each bid.
